Cambridge Au Pairs is not simply a broker of application forms. The aim of the agency is to get a real match between families and au pairs by treating both as individuals and meeting both personally where possible.
Quality Agency
The agency was started in 1987 by Alexandra Cotton. The current owner has extensive experience of au pairs and nannies, and so understands the many benefits, but also the possible difficulties encountered when welcoming a new 'member of the family' into the home.
Personal Service
Individual needs are fully discussed and all aspects of the au pair system explained. Au pair applicants are found, where possible, through personal contacts throughout Europe. When the au pairs arrive, they are sent a welcome letter, an au pair telephone list enabling them to make immediate contact with other au pairs of their nationality, and information about language courses in Cambridge. A welcome party is organised for newcomers, giving the opportunity for the au pairs to make contact with each other.
Continuing Support
Contact is maintained with au pairs and families throughout the period of the arrangement and the Agency will offer helpful suggestions if the family and the au pair encounter any difficulties. Experience has shown that if effort is put into the initial stages of an au pair arrangement, then the result is much more likely to be pleasant and rewarding for both sides.
